10 YEARS AGO I HAD A DREAM TO JUST HAVE HOLIDAYS OFF FROM WORK.
At the time, I was working in the retail, corporate world. I was in management and worked nearly every holiday, weekend, and many times I even had to work on special personal days of celebration like family member’s birthdays, anniversaries with my partner, or other special occasions.
I wanted so badly to just be off on special days. My working so much was starting to not only impact my morale, but my relationship with my partner. He was tired of always celebrating events on a day other than the day of, and we were starting to lose the enthusiasm of making certain days special. At work I was striving to move up the corporate ladder and advance into a position where this would no longer be an issue, which, of course, resulted in me working a lot of hours and days and holidays I really didn’t want to.
I just wanted to reach a point in my professional life where I could have holidays off.
2 YEARS LATER, MY DREAM CAME TRUE.
In those 2 years I really started to dive into personal development and the concept of creating my reality.
I learned how to create a vision board and on it I put up pictures from different holidays and vacations to help me manifest what I desired.
My efforts worked, and 2 years later I had ALL holidays and special occasions free.
That’s because 2years later, I lost my job.
…Now I don’t want you to think badly on this. At the time, yes, I was devastated. Losing my job happened out of nowhere and completely unexpectedly, but it put me in a position to create the life I now have today.
When I lost my job, I opened up the ability to celebrate holidays and special occasions on the day of!
DREAM COME TRUE.
Yet, was I happy?
NOPE! I didn’t have a job!
I found myself lost, not knowing where to go or how to create a life from here.
…so I set another dream and created another vision board.
8 YEARS AGO, I HAD A DREAM TO DO WHAT I LOVE FOR A LIVING, WHILE STILL HAVING MY HOLIDAYS FREE AND TIME TO CELEBRATE SPECIAL OCCASIONS.
I doubled up on my dream in one of the most uncertain times of my life!
I created another vision board with the things that I loved to do: workout, run, travel, spend time with my boyfriend and dog, read books, journal, meditate…
IT ALL CAME TRUE WITHIN A MATTER OF A YEAR.
It didn’t happen overnight, or even in a month, but piece by piece I started to open up doors of opportunity and make connections to people using my positive attitude and outlook on my dream future. Many times I was presented with decisions to move forward into my dreams or fall back into a comfort zone where those dreams were more out of reach. Every single time I took the baby step and took the risk.
It started with me making a decision to teach others wellness and fitness, because I was into that.
That opened up a door to a whole network of people in the wellness and personal development industries.
With that, I was presented with a business opportunity and I made the decision to go for it and invest almost all of what I had in savings to help me get started, because it supported my dream.
That opened me up to a network of even more successful people and a mentorship under several 7-figure earners, celebrities, and influencers.
With that, I started to become more supported and more courageous to do what I love for a living.
I became successful in my business venture. I started spending more time with my dog and boyfriend.
I got engaged. My fiance’ and dog and I started traveling all over the U.S. and Canada for “work”.
I was doing what I love and helping other people learn about it and I was supported along the way.
...And then that business fizzled out unexpectedly, and I was left again at square one.
I DIDN’T EVEN BLINK AN EYE OR SHED A TEAR.
The first time I lost my job, I was devastated. The second time around I was EXCITED!
I knew I had an opportunity to not only start over, but to build up my dream life even bigger and better than before!
I knew how to embrace the Law of Attraction and co-create my reality.
I knew how to stay positive even in times of confusion and darkness.
I KEPT MOVING FORWARD toward what I saw my life becoming.
5 YEARS AGO I HAD A DREAM TO DO WHAT I LOVE FOR A LIVING, HAVE MY HOLIDAYS AND CELEBRATORY DAYS FREE, AND BE ABLE TO DO IT ALL UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE MOON & ASTROLOGY.
Whoa…wait what?! Yes, ASTROLOGY!
When I started working in the personal development industry, I quickly crossed paths with different realms of the metaphysical and spirituality. Within this I started to learn about the moon and the planets and how the entire cosmos can affect our professional world, our dream life, and our current reality.
I wanted to fuse this with what I already did to help others enhance their understanding of themselves and their ability to self-heal and manifest.
THE DREAM CAME TRUE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.
When my business started to fail I was presented with an opportunity to go back into the corporate world or continue with being an entrepreneur.
I made the choice to be my own boss.
Out of that, I was quickly presented with an opportunity to go to my yoga teacher training and up level what I was already doing in the wellness industry.
That opened up a door to start teaching at a few local locations, where I had free reign to design classes as I please. This gave me the opportunity to teach yoga with an astrological influence, be supported doing it, and still have my holidays and other special event times free.
Yet, was I happy?
NO!
Just as the Universe is always expanding, so we’re my dreams!
I was still a sort of “employee” where I was teaching yoga within someone else’s businesses, and I couldn’t exactly build upon what I was doing.
So I dreamed another dream...
6 YEARS AGO I HAD A DREAM TO DO WHAT I LOVE FOR A LIVING, WITH AN ASTROLOGICAL INFLUENCE, WHILE BEING MY OWN BOSS IN MY OWN STUDIO, WHERE I COULD WRITE MY OWN SCHEDULE AND HAVE FREE TIME OFF AS I PLEASE.
I started using the power of vision boards (a new kind this time around), meditation, journaling, and other manifestation techniques to call in my dream reality.
THE DREAM CAME TRUE IN 10 MONTHS.
I didn’t make the leap right away. I had to come across the right location, build up my following and clients, and feel when the timing was right. For awhile, I worked part-time as an employee and the other part-time owning a small space to take in a few clients and hold small classes. I kept moving toward my dream, baby steps at a time, until one day, I found myself completely in my own studio space, running my own business, and reporting to no one else but me.
Yet, was I happy?
NOPE! OF COURSE NOT!
I had more dreams to design!
…To be continued
