Beginner's Yoga "101" is a 10 week go-at-your-own-pace online course featuring everything you need to learn how to feel comfortable in a group class setting or to practice yoga at home on your own!
Each week of the program, students will unlock online access to new lessons on yoga history, philosophy, ethics, and more. Students will also learn new yoga poses each week and have practice with breath work and meditation. Homework assignments will be given so students can incorporate each week's content into a daily practice.
Upon completion of the course, students should feel comfortable taking a Beginner's or All-Levels group yoga class, and have more confidence in doing a yoga practice at home on their own without guidance.
This is also a great course if you're already a "Beginner" but want to dive deeper into learning the ins and outs of yoga as a whole.

When I first started Yoga, I had NO IDEA what I was doing!
I walked into my first real yoga class as a runner and fitness instructor.
I had chosen a "Yoga for Runners" class at my local gym that was conveniently on my "rest day".
I thought Yoga would be "easy," and I'd be able to pick it up quickly like anything else in the fitness world.
I WAS WRONG!
From the first time I walked into that class, I was forever changed.
I found my body challenged with new ways of stretching and holding it in one place.
I noticed my breath, how I could control it, and how it affected my balance.
I also noticed my mind and how CALM and less anxious it felt when I was finished.
I noticed my body, and how it felt less tense.
I noticed how my back pain and sciatica was non-existent.
AND, I NOTICED HOW GOOD I FELT!
From that day on, I continued to come to that same Yoga for Runners class each week. I also soon added an All Levels Yoga class to my schedule, and I started looking for classes online. Before I knew it, I was doing less fitness and running and so much MORE yoga! It just felt good to do!
Why not keep at it?!
Flash-forward 2.5 years from when I walked into that first class, and I was graduating from my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Mexico.
My life is completely different now because of yoga.
The practices I've learned to incorporate into my life on a daily basis have not only increased my overall wellness, but have decreased my stress levels and, honestly, made me a happier, better, more grateful human being.

Each week, access to new lessons will be released featuring instructional breakdown on yoga poses, guided breath work and meditation, yogic philosophy, history, ethics, and more!
All lessons are pre-recorded, so you can tune in at your convenience.
You also have lifetime access to the program, and you can review all lessons as much as you would like.
Upon completion of the course, students should have a foundational knowledge in yoga and be comfortable in a group class setting. Graduates should also feel confident enough to design their own flows and practice at home without the guidance of a teacher.
